  • Primary technical resource for pre-sales engagements.

  • Work closely with the sales team to create and present product presentations and demonstrations to prospects.

  • Work closely with the sales team to remove technical objections and to help close sales.

  • Understand and articulate product capabilities

  • Understand customer requirements. Create and articulate solutions that fit the customer requirements.

  • Create Proof-of-Concept (POC) plans and successfully execute them.

  • Work with Customer Support team to report problems discovered during pre-sales engagements, demonstrations, POCs

  • Provide input to Product Management on new and useful features.

  • Provide post-sales training and short term post-sales consulting support as needed.


  • BS/MS in computer science or engineering, or equivalent

  • 6+ years experience in pre-sales consulting/engineering role selling enterprise-class software and system products.

  • Good understanding of software engineering lifecycle, data integration, and/or semantic web technologies

  • Hands-on experience with one or more application development lifecycle tools, project management tools, portal, content management, and Wiki technologies

  • Strong programming skills a plus

  • Aptitude to install, setup, and configure software

  • Strong analytical and business skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple customer engagements at once

  • Skilled at RFPs/RFQs

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Highly self-motivated

  • Ideally based in the San Francisco Bay Area

  • Conversant in Spanish or Portuguese a plus

  • Eager travel up to 60%
